FUSE is a new curriculum that allows students to explore hands-on, interest-driven challenges inspired by real-world science, technology, engineering, arts/design, and mathematics (STEAM) topics while fostering the development of important 21st century skills. FUSE is being offered to students as part of their exploratory rotation, where students gain access to dozens of FUSE challenges in areas such as robotics, electronics, biotechnology, graphic design, ringtone development, 3D printing and more. Challenges use a leveling up model from gaming and are carefully designed to engage teens in different STEAM topics and skills sets. FUSE appeals to the interests of all young people, especially those students who are not interested in or don't think of themselves as "good at" math and science in school.
Hadley was one of 21 schools awarded the FUSE CompTIA Partnership Grant in 2017.
FUSE Studio Club
The FUSE Studio is also open for all students as a club at Hadley so that every student has access to the dozens of FUSE challenges.
FUSE Studio is a drop-in club open to all Hadley students, so simply drop-in on the days you can make it. The FUSE Studio is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:35 – 4:40pm in Room 3.
